Writing Events

I run many local writing events in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, along with a heap of online events and activities. It’s because I love writing so much! I help to run the Word Family and most of what I do happens under that banner. They are intended to be open to anyone who wants to drop in and have a go*.

Bring your art or craft project of choice (writing is good too!), and make some progress with company. How it Works This event is entirely online, so you don't need to move your project or equipment anywhere. We'll start off with a bit of a chat about what we're all working on and our craft of choice. It would be great if you could share a photo of your project with us! Then we'll have some focus time to get some work done. If you want to join the voice channel, feel free to share a video stream of your crafty progress! Look out for people who have their mics and headphones muted, as they can't hear any chatter, but they might be sharing a view of their work with us or viewing others' streams. In Discord, you can view multiple streams at once. At the end of the event, it would be lovely to have another photo of your project, so we can have before-and-after views! *Pictures and videos are entirely voluntary, comfort is key!
